NuVAX Model 3000 - VAX Replacement System

The NuVAX Model 3000 is a complete VAX replacement system. It replaces your outmoded VAX, slow memory, and hard-to-maintain disks and tapes with a modern HP system that can run your existing application software and replace your DEC I/O interfaces with new PCI bus equivalents.

Complete State-of-the-Art System
  • - The NuVAX Model 3000 consists of a PC platform with ECC memory, a redundant power supply and other server-like capabilities for increased hardware reliability.
  • - Emulates 64 MB VAX memory.
  • - Provides 12 empty VAX disk images pre-installed and ready for your applications.
  • - Has OpenVMS-compatible CDROM and floppy disk devices installed.
  • - Supports Fast Ethernet adapters for 100 Mbps network connections to other systems using OpenVMS network protocols like DECnet and TCP/IP.
  • - VAX emulation software included.
  • - Offers your choice of DRV11-WA, DRQ3B, and IEQ11 interfaces. Other interfaces can be designed for your application. Ask your sales representative about any special requirements.
