Replace your HP1000 with a Windows PC
The REVIVER-1000 emulates a complete HP1000 computer system on a Windows PC. The HP1000 CPU, memory, disks, tapes, serial lines, and Ethernet controller are emulated by mapping their functionality onto a PCI Co-Processor board. Since the Co-Processor recognizes native HP1000 binary instructions, the REVIVER-1000 is able to execute existing HP1000 software. No retranslation of your existing programs is required! ![]() The REVIVER-1000 for Windows directly replaces HP1000 computer systems with Windows/2000 or Windows/XP PC-based systems. The HP1000 Co-Processor board in the REVIVER-1000 is an exact model of the real HP1000 hardware that uses the functionality of the PC to create a PC-based HP1000 system. Peripheral devices on the PC emulate corresponding peripheral devices on the HP1000. The PC's hard drive, for example, replaces the HP1000 hard drive(s), and the PC's serial ports emulate the serial ports on the HP1000, and so forth. This REVIVER-1000 executes HP1000 code directly on the Windows system - the original HP1000 binary code is copied to the PC and executed by the Co-Processor inside a 32-bit Windows application. The HP1000 code is executed as-is by the Co-Processor. Your HP Operating System boots as it normally would and your HP1000 applications run as they normally run. No retranslation is necessary. ![]() For A-Series and M/E/F Systems with I/O adapters that must remain with the system, the REVIVER-1000 offers a rackmount chassis option which contains an HP1000 backplane (A-Series or M/E/F, depending on your system type) and an integrated Windows PC. A high-speed Firewire adapter connects the backplane slots back to the Co-Processor Board.
