Industry Overview: Automatic Test Equipment
Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) is a computer-controlled method of testing circuit boards and semiconductors for defects throughout the manufacturing process. This ensures that the end product, for example a cell phone or computer, functions correctly. Electronics manufacturers use automatic test equipment because it saves them money. The costs of a malfunctioning product are much greater than the costs of testing a product before it is sold.
Comware Technical Services, Inc. was launched in 1985 to supply electronics OEMs and their customers with quality aftermarket products and services to optimize design, manufacturing and aftermarket service productivity in the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) industry.
Equipment failures can hold up a test floor.
Comware has the experience and tools to get ATE back up and running quickly through:
In-house ATE Systems that allow the simulation of almost any test environment.
Bringing quality services and competitive prices to ATE users worldwide since 1985
Providing quality customer service and support to the ATE aftermarket for 20 years
Servicing, selling and buying GenRad 228x, 227x test systems and spare parts.
Industry Overview: Legacy Computer Systems
Legacy Systems: Term given to outdated computer systems still in use.
Many of today's computer systems, used in applications ranging from corporate accounting to air traffic control, were created decades ago, and over the years were patched and fine-tuned to perform their jobs. Now they seem too slow, unreliable and inflexible for handling new, more diverse and demanding tasks. Unfortunately, the functions of these systems are very difficult to understand, and their replacement with new and efficient designs seems virtually impossible.
Enter Comware
For the past few years, Comware has specialized in the replacement of older technology (legacy) systems with new, state-of-the-art PC-based platforms. Comware's suite of Legacy Solution products replace these antiquated systems with a Windows-based PC.
Comware can replace the following legacy systems with state-of-the-art Windows PCs:
PDP-11
VAX/MicroVax
